The current R&D program has started with the implementation of "Young Scientists Program". It is oriented towards highlighting current aspects on Industry and Policy, R&D and Technology, Health care, Natural products, Information Technology, Monitoring Adverse drug reactions, etc. Emphasis to work or collect current data is the first task given to undergraduate pharmacy students.
Endeavours are made to seed in the aptitude of Research in relevant field of interest, so that they are exposed to all modalities of Research work including Presentation of Papers. Our postgraduate students have taken up various research projects as part of their curriculum. Needless to say the project study under progress occupies a prime position in the field of Healthcare.
RESEARCH PROGRAM
The Research and Development centre at VIPS is setting up collaborative efforts with pharmaceutical industries and the hospitals (KIMS hospital and Research Centre) in several pre-clinical and clinical fronts. To strengthen the scientific temper required for this effort we have set up the young scientist programme. The objective is to identify young researchers at undergraduate level and train them in R&D activities.
