subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
and Biology) of Karnataka. or An equivalent
examination of any other approved
board or university with the above-mentioned
optional subjects.
Commencement
of the Course
The
annual academic year begins in October.The
applications are available online.
Duration
D.Pharmacy
is a course spread over a period of
two academic years and a practical
training of not less than 750 hours
covered in not less than 3 months.
Sessionals
(Internal Assessment)
Three
sessional examinations each for 20
marks are conducted during each academic
year in each subject separately for
both theory and practical. Average
marks of the best two sessional examinations
shall be computed and added to the
marks obtained in the annual examination.
Annual
Examination
Conducted
by Board of Examination Authority
(BEA-D.Pharm), twice in an academic
year for both theory and practical.
Maximum marks:-
Theory 80 marks
Practical 80 marks (including viva)
Pass marks - a minimum of 40 marks
separately in theory and practical
including sessional marks.
Practical
Training
After
completion of Diploma in Pharmacy,
a candidate shall be eligible to undergo
practical training in a hospital or
manufacturing house recognized by
the PCI. The training period shall
be not less than 3 months. BEA shall
recognize the place of training.
