Sub:-Formation of Institute level anti-ragging committee and squads –

Reg. Implementation of the guidelines framed by PCI
Ref: 14-1 / 2006 – PCI / pt. –I

As per the directions of Supreme Court of India/ University/ PCI the Institute has formed the following Anti-ragging committees and squads for overseeing the implementation of the provisions of the verdict with immediate effect:

1) Anti-ragging Committee:
1. Rajarajeswari .N
2. Kumar holla.K
3. Anil Kumar .K.V
4 Veeregowda

2) Anti-ragging Squads
1. Rajarajeswari .N
2. Veeregowda

The Anti-ragging Squad shall work in co-ordination with the Antiragging committee and oversee the implementation of the recommendations.
Punishments: Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Anti-Ragging Committee of the University, the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the University level shall be any one or any combination of the following:

1. Cancellation of admission.
2. Suspension from attending classes.
3. Withholding / withdrawing scholarship / fellowship and other benefits.
4. Debarring from appearing in any test / examination or other evaluation process
5. Withholding results.
6. Debarring from representing the University in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc.
7. Suspensions / expulsion from the hostel.
8. Rustication from the college and University for period varying from 1 to 4 years.
9. Expulsion from the college and consequent debarring from admission to any other college.
10. Rigorous imprisonment of three years and / or a fine of upto Rs.25,000/-
11. Collective punishment:- When the persons committing or abetting the crime or ragging are not identified, the college shall resort to collective punishment as a deterrent to ensure community pressure on the potential raggers.

As per the instruction of PCI / Supreme Court of India, each of the student of the Institute and his/her parents and, or Guardian are hereby required to submit an affidavit at the time of registration/ admission, in the prescribed format as attached to this order, which is mandatory for admission.
